Analysis: This is almost a must-win game (although if anyone can lose three straight, it is the Agin' Yanks) against a pitcher we have never faced. We held a dangerous offense scoreless for 7 innings last night and only looked weakened offensively due to some demoralized desperation hacks at the plate.

If you're like me you are probably attempting to maintain your confidence while catching yourself thumbing through a rolodex of What-Ifs from last night's game.

power worries

of course we need more power in the lineup, but we've never had it all year, and look where it's gotten the angels -- to First in the West.

the angels just need to play their game of manufacturing runs and getting clutch hits -- as nerve-wracking as that is to watch.

any extra power just puts a nail in the Yankers' coffin.

Our typical problem is...

...when we face some nobody pitcher we make them look like Cy Young. Hopefully by the end of tonight we're not calling this guy Cy Wang. In fact, I am going to predict that he makes our hitters look silly like so many other lower tier guys this year.

My night

I was teaching a college English class tonight, but I had my cell phone next to me on the stand so I could keep an eye on the score. Luckily, I got out just in time to get on the radio and hear OC's two-run single, and I got home just in time to see Benji's HR and Frankie close it down.
