SANTO DOMINGO - Although the American League Cy Young Award won't be announced until Tuesday afternoon, Major League Baseball officials asked Los Angeles Angeles right-hander Bartolo Colón to fly to the United States on Monday.
Colón himself said Monday night that the reason for the trip was not specified to him, only that a private plan would pick him up in Puerto Plata.
