Bartolo Colon is the 2005 American League Cy Young Award Winner

Angels pitcher Bartolo Colon has been voted the winner of the 2005 American League Cy Young Award.

He received seventeen 1st place votes and eleven 2nd place votes.
A reliever from an east-coast division winner came in 2nd place and last year's CYA winner came in 3rd place.
Colon won 21 games in 2005. He is the 2nd Angel to win the award. Dean Chance won it in 1964.
Bartolo gets a $500K bonus for winning the award - which is more than the entire $345K salary of 4th place finisher Cliff Lee of the Indians.
Two members of the Chicago Laundry Chumpions got some skimpy 5th and 6th place votes.
Congratulations Bartolo!

THANK YOU BARTOLO!
There's only one problem with Colon winning it
What does this all boil down to? The voters are idiots who gave Colon the award based on his win total, a horrible stat to decide such an award on. Congrats Colon you fatty, enjoy the all you can eat buffets in the DR and go for 300 pounds! Just believe in yourself.
