Bartolo Colon ('04: 18-12) vs. Ryan Drese ('04: 14-10)

Tonight's ceremony features raising the Divisional Championship banner and Brian Downing (along with his son) throwing out the first pitch. Perhaps a surprise announcement that Brian's #5 is being retired? That would be Suh-WEET!

Championship Flag

I was at the stadium this morning for the ESPN broadcast, and the flag was ALREADY UP!! I took some pictures of it, too. Looks REALLY pretty, but it's lonely. :)

Aw man, you are making me seriously jealous! I have to watch the game on my computer and they probably will not give me all that pregame hoopla!

Keys to the game

In order of importance here are the three keys to tonight's game:

Luck- Face it, Colon stunk. He walked four and got pounded, but good fortune prevailed. The Rangers hit "atom" balls (Get it, at them balls?) at just the wrong time to kill their big innings. A few key K's and nice throws from GA and Vlad bailed him out too. Rangers easily could have put up 5 runs on Bart.
Vlad the Impaler-What can you say?
Kid Kloser-I LOVED the attitude displayed when K-Rod pounded his chest and sprinted to the mound--what a moment. Oh, and then he got them, 1,2,3.

How come no VLAD MVP trophy?

I guess they are going to do it tonight.

Of course i won't be there.

But the best news is that we are on pace to win 162 games.

It was great last night though. People were getting on their feet through out the game, smoking weed in the bathroom, rally monkeys in jet fighters(the three o'clock), Vlad Bombs over Brooklyn, high fives with friends and strangers, KROD closing down the peeps.
