While every blogger is analyzing the stats of Ervin Santana in the minor leagues to pretend they are analytical as they look into their Miss Clio cystal balls, the good Reverend here will just bust out the mojo - this guy has got more nickname potential than any other Angel minor leaguer, so he has got to do good.

While every blogger is analyzing the stats of Ervin Santana in the minor leagues thinking they are so much smarter than the average fan, the good Reverend has been looking up the lyrics of hits by Santana - Do you realize Oye Como Va has 9 words in the whole song?

So he could be the next Pedro Martinez, he could be the next Ramon Ortiz, but two things are certain:
1. idiot Angel telecaster Steve Physioc will use the pedantic phrase Dominican Dandy to describe him, and...
2. the future is already here, Halosphere - the post-Bavasi crop of draftees are fact, are Angels, are hopefully the stuff of legend. Uh, I mean, this team's VORP projects in the 80th percentile without the addition of top-rated prospects who would already be AAAA contributors on 23 other major league clubs.

I simply posted his stats. The BHW tried to be all "Look at me, I'm Mr. Analyst!". :)

I'm excited to see him pitch just because I want to see him pitch. I fully expect him to get drilled. Not that I think the Angels will score enough runs to make a difference.
