Hey, that was nice. Was it good for you too?
Well that is how it is supposed to happen every game.
Washburn gets out of trouble early and settles into a groove. The offense hardly ever goes quietly and has a little pop to it.
If you want to get picky about Vlad not getting a hit
OR Donnelly giving up long outs
OR Roenicke sending Finley (who got lucky on the bad defense at the plate),
then I can get picky about Ichiro making the greatest catch I have ever seen to rob Garret of his 2nd homerun
OR A.K.'s butterflies leading to half of their baserunners and snuffing out a rally or two
OR D-Mac's double being a homerun in 26 other major league ballparks.
So there, we were the better team tonight.

No feckin' way
WHAT?!?!?! How long have you been watching the Angels? You obviously never saw any of the 8,097,462 replays of Jim Edmonds' diving over the shoulder catch on the warning track against KC. Let's be blunt about the Ichiro catch, OK? He misplayed the ball. He thought it was going over the fence, climbed up the fence and then had to reach back because the ball wasn't close to going over the fence--it would have hit the wall if he didn't reach back for it. He only had to make the catch he did because he misjudged the ball. He could have put his back against the wall, lept and caught it.

eyeball to eyeball, memory to memory
Huh?
Edmonds' catch was maybe a little better, but not by much.
