Tonight we will see how much better Bartolo's ankle fared over Merloni's knee on that Metrodome carpet. Henceforth, let's all refer to any serious injury on artificial turf as "a Merloni," as in, "Did Bartolo just tweak his ankle, or was it a Merloni?"

Without Lou Merloni, we are left with David Matranga - if he sees the light of playing time, it is either an injurious disaster or a blowout game... preferably with our bats blowing out their pitching!.

Missed it

Prior commitment. I would have cheered for Percival. Nice Vlad got a hit off him, nice D-Mac got his first homerun, nice Bartolo went the distance. Glass half full kinda loss, yeah?
