Joyner?
When Wally came back, why did he don #5 instead of his iconic 21?
Feels like the 1970's all over again. <sigh>

Shiggy would not let it go
Rule is if a player has the number yo have to ask him for it and he may not want to give it up or even sell it...

Oh
Guess he should have traded him some sushi or something for it.

I loved Brian Downing
How many times when you played ball with your buddies did you try to emulate his wacky batting stance?

And who could forget that great catch him and fred lynn made in left center...  Awesome!

Downing
I rembember the season he got or alomost got the record for leadoff hr (1st inning)in a season. I seem to remember that he switched to the open batting stance from a regular one. It seemed odd then, but a number of players use it (open) now. I wonder if he was one of the first.

Downing
Tony Batista had a pretty similar stance to Downing.

I still try that stance out now and then playing softball.  Angels should just retire it already.  I know Downing is not on the best terms with the organization, but some things just need to be done, whether he'll come out for a ceremony or not.

My favorite player ever.
