Trial
I absolutely cannot wait for this stupid trial to get over so the papers can start writing about the baseball team instead of that.
Is some of this stuff really newsworthy? Just please tell me if they win or lose the lawsuit and if they need to change their name. Other than that, I'd rather have them tell me how Colon is doing, or that one of the prospects has added 20 pounds of muscle, or something. I just want baseball stuff at this point. (I know this last paragraph was pure rambling but I had to get to 300 characters)

Ken Rosenthal...
also..
There IS an interesting article
Hey, I know he's not an Angel anymore, but ANY baseball news is better than NO baseball news.
I also watched the Serie de Caribe (I think that's what it's called) aka the Carribean World Series yesterday. Dom Republic vs Puerto Rico and Venezuela vs Mexico.
If these are the same teams that are going to play in the WBC, Venezuela is gonna be tough to beat.
thanks for the tips
Did you guys/gals see this new article on the chances of the Angels signing the elder Weaver? That would be shocking!
Napoli's Stock Rising
Angels general manager Bill Stoneman on Mike Napoli, the catcher behind Jeff Mathis in the Angels' system. "This guy is a heck of a catcher. He handles pitchers well. He moves well behind the plate. He throws out a high percentage of base stealers. In addition to that, the ball just leaps off his bat. He's not a high-average guy just yet, but he's a highly productive hitter." Napoli batted .237 with 31 homers and 99 RBIs in 439 at-bats at Class AA last season ..."
Funny, but I had always read that Napoli was a subpar defensive catcher who projected to be a back-up catcher/dh. Perhaps he'll become an everday catcher someday.
By the way, one of the reasons Stoneman gave for letting Bengie walk was to move Mathis to the big club AND to move Napoli to AAA, where Stoneman felt Napoli needed to play.
Clearly the team is intrigued with Napoli's potential.
