I don't remember where I first saw that this was happening, but damn, if I don't think it's one of the coolest promotions of the year.  

Joe Maddon Retro Glasses.

Yep, a pair of black, thick framed glasses just like Coach Joe wears.

I have a friend that's a huge Coach Joe fan, so I emailed the Devil Rays and asked if I could get a pair for her.  Do you know, WITHIN AN HOUR, I got an email back from the head of promotions with the DRays who said, "send me an email after the promotion is over, and I'll get a pair out to you."  How cool is that???

Shucks, if someone went to the Angels and asked for a promo item, if it wasn't thunderstix, fans or hispanic heritage posters, you ain't getting shit!!
