She said
I know what it's like to be dead
I know what it is to be sad
And she's making me feel like I've never been born

The Split Squad action makes up for the rainout yesterday,
just like Revolver covered up the inadequacies of the overrated Rubber Soul...

Concur seconded
Yep, what an album.

WBC, is that still going on? :-)  Too busy watching college hoops to bother with that nonsense.

Hoops?
Is that something you play before or after Chutes-N-Ladders, developmentally?

Colleg - you mean the supposedly liberal institutions that don't pay the talent on their ridiculously profitable teams?

Trifecta!
Angels with a Weaver-Weaver sweep and Team USA wins!

Kendry and Howie (3-4) rocked Tucson. Jered looked good too.

I feel bad for Japan - the umps took away a run that should have positioned Japan for the win - sucks to win this way.

i watched the WBC on TV
japan got robbed. but it's hard to feel sorry for 'em when their 1B can't keep his foot on the bag and the pitcher commits a HBP. the strikeout of Griffey was amazing to watch, though. with the exception of that crappy call, it was a great game to watch. it's too bad it couldn't have been a totally clean game.

BARTOLO COLON / DOM-PUR THREAD
bart freezes i-rod for a called K, and it's 1-0 DOM after 2.5 innings. solo shot by beltre is the difference.

ivan the terrible!
he strikes back with a strike-'em-out/throw-'em-out DP.

damn, bart is BIG
this is the first i've seen him this year.
shit, bart, those "shrek" jibes are only gonna get worse, my man...

gave up back-to-back doubles
and got out of a jam, allowing only 1 run.

he's been throwing the ball consistently high. his control is a bit off, it seems...

At least he solvesone dilemma
I always thought he was punishing Angel fans with those agonizing innings ... nice to know he serves them up for his countrymen too.

bart got the job done
it didn't look pretty, but he held PR to 1 run through 5.

4-1 PR, bot 6
damn, this is an ELECTRIC game. that stadium is completely on fire, and jose mota just said that he's getting goosebumps.

Dancing on the Dugout
a team of salsa dancers (men & women) started dancing their asses off on top of the PR dugout in between innings! fantastic!

Is Jered Weaver a flake?
From Monday's O.C. Register:

'And what has been the Angels' big distraction this spring? Vladimir Guerrero wavering on the World Baseball Classic? The burning - and itching - saga of Dallas McPherson's full-body rash? Jered Weaver oversleeping?

'(Quick aside on Weaver. General Manager Bill Stoneman said the issue "will be dealt with internally." This is the proper course, but externally: Good gravy, there are better days to report late for work than on the morning of your first start in your first major-league spring-training camp. Weaver showed up late Sunday, missing the team bus to Tucson and had to find his own way.

'This is a big deal? Absolutely not. But this is a deal? Absolutely. When you're a No.1 draft pick who signed for $4 million, when you already tripped up once by being cited for public intoxication last month, when only everyone's watching you, just do the basic things right, OK? Four million bucks, Jered. Buy an alarm clock or two.)'
