The reported collapse of the broadcast deal with Fox Sports Net is actually an opportunity for the Angels and Arte Moreno.
According to today's L.A. Times Tim Mead has said Arte is still "committed to televising 150 games this season." All I can say is that the powers that be better make something happen -- and fast! If not, leaving some of the best fans in baseball (Angels top three in attendance last year) with practically no coverage of road games is just plain unacceptable.
If Arte wants to prove that he REALLY DOES care about the fans (as he and his adoring media servants so often tells us) then this will get taken care of. If not, all the talk of being a "big market" team will amount to so much self-promotion and hot air.
