Jered Weaver called up!

Jered Weaver has been called up to the Angels according to L I N K, It doesn't look like the article says who was called down from the 25 man, and obviously he had to be added to the 40 man roster. We'll see whether he is coming up as a starter or reliever. Is there any chance he starts tonight over kevin gregg?

[Update]RevHF here, I moved this over from the diaries (congrats hathaway93)... 90 minutes later and still no roster announcements - 26 names on the team's 25 man roster listed on their site... Updates as events unfold...

[Update] Yan DFA, K-Gregg to long relief, Jered Weaver to the rotation.

bring on the future
Lets see where they plug him in, it better not be in the pen...

Santana tomorrow night, is a lock... Night Home game, chalk it as a victory!

He's not going to start for Escy on Sunday...

I wouldn't think he would start tonight as he just pitched on Monday. Either Santana or Escy is hurt or something wierd is going on!

Glad to hear he got the call! Maybe a little brotherly competition will be good for Elder Weaver

I have the perfect pitcher in mind for the Angels-
reliable, consistent and almost always pitches the perfect throws.......

Other changes
The Register says Kevin Gregg will move back to the bullpen, with Ervin Santana taking his scheduled start tonight.  Esteban Yan may be the lucky DFA.  Please, say it's so, Joe.

Just realized this
but according to the 25-man  roster, his number is 56 -- Washburn's old number.  That's not exactly a compliment.

Look at Wash's Winning %
and bow to the non-statistically-valid power of the 56.

I count 26
Wish I could freeze-frame that, but the shuffle has yet to be completed.

So
I guess Bartolo is on the DL for atleast another 3 starts.

Alfonso, Yan, Lil Weave..
gotta hand it to this team.  Maybe they don't do it as fast as we'd like, but they've made practically all the moves we've suggested.

If they move Figgins to 9, the stars will align.
