Don't know if this was posted anywhere else, but there's a funny piece on Joe Maddon on today's uniwatch blog, including a great pic of the Halos wearing Maddon style glasses during the national anthem. Not sure how to post pics in a thread, or if it's even possible, so I'll just post the link:

that's a funny photo. I was bummed because I was at work during that part of the game and didn't get to see the tribute. Thanks for posting that.

Might be true I guess

Still, it shows that the guys respected Maddon enough to give him a tribute, and maybe that is why Mike's managing has been a bit crazy this year

I agree

Maddon was the brains of the operation. Not that Scioscia's not a smart dude, but as everyone has noticed this year, his managerial prowess leaves a little to be desired. I don't know much about Ron Roenicke but if I were to meet him I would say to him "I knew Joe Maddon, and YOU SIR are no Joe Maddon!"

With the young talent Tampa has and Maddon at the helm, I expect big things from the D-Rays in the next few years and I don't care what division they're in.
