Kazmir out tonight

breaking news

ANAHEIM -- Devil Rays ace Scott Kazmir has been scratched from Saturday's start against the Angels due to a stiff neck.
"During the game he was getting stiffened up a little bit," said Rays manager Joe Maddon after Friday's 4-0 loss to the Angels. "So I'd much rather do this and everybody is well rested so there's no concern there."

James Shields will move up a day to start Saturday against the Angels, and the rest of the rotation will move up as well. Casey Fossum will pitch Sunday and Tim Corcoran on Monday against the Twins. Kazmir will start Tuesday against the Twins in what will be a marquee matchup between two of the best left-handers in baseball. Kazmir will face Francisco Liriano.
