There are seven (7) players in MLB history who have hit 35 or more home runs in a single season, AND have 10 or more letters in their last name.

I saw Dave Concepcion PITCH once

in a blowout game - the Dodgers were killing the Reds. Pete Rose was the manager, i think he threw the game on purpose, left the starter in too long to pay back his bookies.
