I know I piss a lot of people off

But I'm no troll. I'm clearly rooting for the Angels and everything I suggest is about what I think will make the team better, because I think they've got a shot at a World Series ring this year and for years to come. I've done nothing but praise Napoli, OC, Izturis, Quinlan, Rivera, Vlad, the entire starting rotation ( I even tried to defend Jeff Weaver) and I've always called Shields and K-Rod the best setup closer team in baseball.

I've tried to keep faith that Donnelly and Romero could return to their performance level of past years, and I've stuck by Morales on the faith that he will likely improve. My criticism of Figgy was more about his play at 3rd, and not in his worth and value as an OF. I'm even sticking by GA, I just think he's being used wrong.

My criticisms of players like Kennedy, Erstad and Salmon have been based solely on their IMO inability to help us this year. I respect all three of them and am grateful for their past contributions, but I separate nostalgia from my present-day assessment of a player's value to the team. And yeah, sometimes I criticize management for what I think are bad moves, but it's always been with the idea that I want this team to win.

And clearly, sometimes people don't totally get my hyperbolic sense of humor. It's meant to draw a laugh, not piss anybody off. Baseball is supposed to be fun. If everybody here was in agreement on everything, this would be a pretty boring webpage.

about 30 being young for a ballplayer. And executing any kind of trade for Jacque Jones and Phil Nevin (unless that was a joke, in which case you failed to get the irony across). Or maybe it was when you asked why the Angels weren't platooning Kendrick vs. lefties with Kennedy as though this hadn't been tried and failed, and then you said that you didn't really mean "platoon" even though that was the title of the post. Or maybe it was the time you devoted an entire post to some claptrap promulgated on 710, one of the worst sources for trade rumors ever. Or perhaps was it the time that Aubrey Huff got dealt and you freaked out in public because the Angels weren't in on that pathetic action. There's just so many ridiculous things you've posted to choose from. It's not that we hate you. It's all those pratfalls that leave your credibility strained.

Fire Mickey Hatcher. An entire generation of Angels offense depends upon it.

in samo's defense, he did say, "I'm not saying this is true or not, it's the first time I'd ever listened to these guys, but..." its not like he was stating it to be fact.

That's cool

I have to be able take it because I dish it out it on occassion. I was just getting the feeling that I was pissing people off when all I'm really trying to do is get a laugh. I just wanted to clarify I'm with all you guys in wanting the Angels to win. Maybe I'll play it a bit more straight now. This website should be fun but I don't want to offend anybody. Plus, I'm surrounded by Yankee, Dodger and Ranger fans in real life so this is the one place I can show my true allegiance without pissing off people in real life.

I know Moreno is the owner. I suffer from dislexic typos. Just trying to be funny with my response. I wish irony and sarcasm could come through a little more in my writing, but if people took everything I said on this page literally, I know I'd seem like I'm stupid, when in truth, it generally takes face-to-face time to truly realize I'm an idiot.

Actually, pretty close to Dodger stadium but a friend of a friend is a lawyer for the player's union, so when I moved to LA ten years ago, I started scoring a lot of free primo Angels tickets over the years and I kind of got hooked on the Angels in the late 90s. I try and catch Dodger games on TV because I love how Vin Scully calls a game, but if it's a question of Dodgers versus Angels, it's the Angels hands down.
