Accardo's closest comp
Jeremy Accardo was 1-3 with a 4.91 ERA for the Giants - basically a middle to long relief type - 24 yrs old, signed as a nondrafted free agent three years ago. Baseball America ranked him as the Giants #13 prospect going into this season (Giants had the 18th best minor league system, according to BA).
Pretty clear evidence that Stoneman and Scioscia took the clubhouse problems of Hillenbrand pretty seriously.

If Stoneman wanted him, he could have had him. Stoneman decided he didn't want the problems (and I agree).
