world series

i remember when the angels were in the world series in 2002, all of the a's fans were rooting for us because the hated the giants so much.

i think it's safe to say that all of us hate the a's.  i also think it's safe to say that alot of us hate the dodgers.

so...let's just pretend...

its a's vs. dodgers in the 2006 world series.  who are you rooting for?

Ha... I just thought about this the other day.
But as an A's fan I can't answer this question the way you want it answered so I'll refrain.

For me, local rivalry is a bigger deal than division rivalry. I had turned the TV off in Game 6 in 2002 when it looked like the Giants were going to win. I could never stomach watching that. I am forever grateful to the Halos for keeping the SF World Series trophy case empty. :)

I would even root for the Yankees over the Giants. The Giants are Satan's team to me.

I don't hate the A's
and I don't hate the Dodgers. Neither one is my team so I don't pay attention to either one and to say I hate them expends too much energy. So that brings that down to the fans....and I would much rather root for the few friendly A's fans who have made their presence known on this site.

I posted that as a test of sorts. See what kind of response I would get and well, how much slammage seeing as this blog is huge Anti-A's. Just having some harmless psych fun

The A's are the enemy
The Dodgers are the lesser organization in our market.

Thank You

Invalid premise - I refuse to answer.
This would mean the A's would actually have to win a playoff series, which is simply impossible.

i realize this fact...
...that was one of the two reasons i added

so...let's just pretend...

the other reason of course, was the fact that i needed a few more characters to make 300.

Local
I don't understand why I can't like both of the local teams. I hate the giants, and A's. F them both.

Teams/fans.
Padres - Their fans are the worst group of human beings.

Dodgers - We own SoCal bitches!

Giants - I don't really care.

A's - Can't say anything mean or they'll cry.

Dodgers!
IMO, local competition would enhance many things such as free agency signings and payroll for both the Dodgers and Angels. The reach of each teams respective fan base is enormous and unlimited; I have a residence in the Palm Springs area and I routinely run into many Dodgers and Angels fans.

My 3 favorite teams in order

are the Angels, whoever is playing the Dodgers, and whoever is playing the Yankees. If the Yanks ever play the Blue Bastards in the World Series again, I will pop in my 2002 WS DVD and pretend it's not happening...or I'll watch bowling on ESPN2.

A silly question
for me honestly... no way I would be rooting for the As under any circumstances. ... well MAYBE if it was ALCS vs Yankees...

Dodgers are a nice subnote to my precious Angels. I don't know their team, but they are a local SoCal team. Have to cheer them on! Why not! No brainer.

And one can always hope for a nice Freeway series eh.

If you refuse to answer this, you're lame.
Only one of these teams consitutes a legitimate annual threat to Halo dominance of the American League's Western Division.

If the Dodgers were to win another title, we would still beat them regularly, and it would be a matter of everybody simply continuing to acknowlede the AL's dominance in interleague play.

I just couldn't live with at least a year of the A's having bragging rights.

easy
Dodgers. I actually like them. And they're not competition, so why would I want a team that we are in a direct rivalry with to win?

speaking of the world series
i wouldn't mind having this.

Where the hell did that come from?
A gumball machine? That ain't an official ring. Is that something they gave to concession employees?

it's clearly not real.
i don't need it to be expensive to sport it.

are you saying you wouldn't wear that?

i'd trade a green stain on my finger for that ring any day.
