What about?
Geoff jenkins of Mil, had his option declined by the Brewers, Geoff had 21 HRs and could be had for cheap. The story on him has always been that his hitting would improve if you could get him out of Left Field. assuming he could move that # to 25 HRs .275 avg. .330 Obp. Would he be better that what a tandem of Juan Rivera and Reggie Willits could give us?
I love both those guys but they are also extremely tradeable right now and we can get something for them while cheaply replacing their #'s... Just a thought

Broke Down Palace
Where
Vlad is going to DH a little more to rest his knees. GA will rotate through DH as well, which allows Willits to get some ABs as a 4th outfielder.
I just don't see why we'd get Jenkins when we don't have a spot for him.

I always liked Jenkins
Maybe something like Hunter in center, GM Jr moving to left, and Anderson at DH - that would give us a decent bat and improve the defense, but I don't think the upgrade is worth paying 75 million for.
Its probably A-Rod or bust for the Angels.
And now for something completely different
He bats lefty, he has power, and supposedly never did roids. (Artie cares about that stuff, I don't). Plus Cincy is overloaded in the OF, so the really need to trade an OF, and Junior should be priced to move.
Now he will likely get hurt, but we have other decent options for the other half of the season, but maybe if we DH him most of the time, he plays 130 games.
so we get yet another old, injury-prone
i'm gonna have to disagree.
Why Not Just.........
Let me start by saying I am not a huge fan of either, but they have talent, and ability. Just not sure I want to locker next to either of them. With that said....sign ARod and Bones. Have the line up Fig LF, OC SS, ARod 3B, Bones DH, Vlad RF, GA 1B, GM CF, Howie 2B, and the C.
You can always use Fig as the super UTL guy, and have him fill in giving days off to the guys like GA and Vlad. If you're wondering about Kotch then you have him as well or you can toss him out there as trade bait for a SP and see what is offered up. If nothing good then he is still there as a Defensive guy and left-handed bat. I just have not seen this guy stay healthy enough since the day he signed. Always something with him, and his health. Not like you can count on him for 150 games.
