HK and Izzy?

i just read from mlb.com that the marlins are asking for kendrick AND izturis for miguel cowbrera. im not sure if this has already been discussed or not, but i dont think we can afford to lose both of them. if they wanted figgins and aybar, i would say do it in a heart beat, but izturis may be the best bench player in all of baseball and unless they throw someone else in with lard ass, then i say kendrick is off limits. dont they have uggla anyway? why do they even want HK?

thatd be like us saying why would we want matt holliday or albert pujols(ok, maybe not to THAT extent). talent is talent, regardless of what position its at.

Figgins

I would trade him for someone of Cabrera's caliber--he's coming off a career year that he likely will not repeat and has peak value, with Aybar a definite possibility to replace him. Anyone more than that--ESPECIALLY Howie Kendrick--is ridiculous.

Miguel Cabrera

I realize that Miguel Cabrera is challenged on defense, but we NEED to add a bat to be a serious world series contender.

Kendrick and Izturis for Miguel Cabrera would be a GREAT trade.

Obviously if you can substitute Figgins, Wood and Adenhart, that would be better. But let's get Cabrera in the mix.
