A-Rod deal appears to be done

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3112799

10yrs/275mil.  They have agreed to an "outline" and the deal "hasn't been finalized."  Apparently, though, this is just a formality.  A-Rod sat down with the Brothers to make sure the offer was legit and now they just need to etch it into stone.

There is also some sort of clause that let's him share in the revenue if and when he starts chasing down Bonds' home run "record."  Crazy.

Food for thought folks...
Has anyone seen a press release from the Yankees saying this? I havent.

Does'nt the fact
that A-Rod went crawling back to the Yankees pretty much says everything at this point?

Crawling back
to 275 mil?
Mike wants some slugging and so do I.

Oh, he definitely crawled...
Let me put it in terms you boys might better understand:

Let's say you work at McDonald's, flipping burgers for $8/hour.

You tell McDonald's you're leaving, wanting more money, and you're now a free agent for Burger King, Wendy's, In and Out, Jack in the Box, etc...

Well, it turns out these other places are only going to give you $7/hour.

What do you do?  You put your tail between your legs, swallow your pride, and beg for your job back at McDonald's.

Let me explain it to you
Let's say you are the highest paid employee in the history of McDonalds and your contract expires, then you sign a new one making you the highest paid employee in the history of the company.  Funny thing is your your old salary is still the second higest ever and 25% higher than the third highest paid employee ever.

YEAH he crawled back

Mike wants some slugging and so do I.

If the cameras pan down....
....during his press conference as he's being welcomed back to the New York Yankees, you'll clearly be able to see he's wearing Cynthia's kneepads.
