If the last sentence in this mornings LA Times article were true, I'd give it for Santana... not for MCab. This way, we'll still be able to trade for Tejada.

Johan can match up against Beckett better than Lackey can. I'll take Lackey over Schilling and I'd certainly take Escobar over Dice K. Plus add more experience for our young guys, plus the additions of Hunter and Tejada makes us a formidible offensive club, even against the Red Sox.

Another way to look at it, we let the Red Sox deal for him, we'll never win. MCab and Tejada or not, going against Johan and Beckett in back to back games will doom us and every team in baseball.

Block everyone else and let's go get him!
