Poor Donnelly?

From the ESPN.com story:
________________

He was home in Arizona, "eating popcorn and watching the whole [George] Mitchell thing," and up popped his name. "I was," Donnelly says, "sick to my stomach."

Donnelly is tied to Kirk Radomski for supposedly asking him for Anavar and being supplied with Deca-Durabolin in 2004, when Donnelly had nosebleed and arm problems.

Here is Donnelly's statement: "In 2004, I was having multiple physical problems and was concerned about not getting back on the field for even close to the level I had experienced. I made a phone call to Radomski. We discussed Anavar.

"Upon learning that Anavar was classified as a steroid, I realized that was not an option. That was the end of it. Yes, I called him. But I did not purchase or receive anything from him. I never took Deca or Anavar. I do want to fully support the testing program of Major League Baseball, and I support wider testing."

....

He is, in baseball terms, a grunt who has found himself and his career caught in the crossfire of the millionaires and billionaires of the steroids era. "I haven't slept since that came out," Donnelly says. "I'm still sick."

Not to mention...
Mitchell has clearly explained that he communicated to each player's representative that they were going to be in the report, in order to give them an opportunity to explain their side, which would be included in the report.  Either all of these players who were "blindsided" by the report have really bad representatives, or are lying.

Fuck everybody that disses Donnelly
Brendan is 1 month younger than me. When he made the bigs at 31 in the Championship season of 2002 and made a key contribution to the only WS flag hanging at our park after toiling in the minors for well over a decade, he instantly became a hero to me.

The fact that he followed it up with several more dominant seasons and an All-Star berth only fuels my appreciation for Donkey.

If I was 2 years into a Major League career that I knew would be short to do to my age, after dedicating my life to playing pro ball and not a career in the business world and I suddenly got hurt, I'd inject every damn thing under the sun and pop all the pills I could find if I thought it would help me play long enough to be able to take care of my family.

Brendan Donnelly is all right. Fuck anybody who thinks otherwise, and fuck the MLBPA for snubbing him for his being a scab for a few days. Like any of us wouldn't have jumped at the chance if we had it.

According to the handbook
the roll-over rule exists on a monthly basis, if and only if the preceding calendar year involved the user using the word "fuck" 0.75 times per post, on average.

I don't know what this will mean to you, but keep it in mind, please!

So you're the Halos Heaven HR rep.

I'd like to speak with you about filing a sexual harassment complaint on Bilko 420.

by Higz on Dec 18, 2007 10:48 AM PST up reply actions

You'll have to fill out
Document 1143.d, in triplicate (no carbon copy forms), and mail them in postmarked no more than eighteen (18) days after the date of incident in question.  For repeat documented cases of harassment, you need to speak with a human resources representative of SBN to file a formal complaint no more than sixty (60) days from the most recent incident.  Please be prepared with your social security number, date of birth, a valid American Express card, and your mother's maiden name.

It's best to keep you out of the loop
it cuts down on paperwork, the bureaucratic red-tape, and the end-arounds we have to go through.

But on your end, it also cuts down on your liability.  We're just protecting you.

Brenden Donnelly
Will be forever emblazoned in my mind as walking off the field after dominating the Giants in the 8th of Game 6 and shouting "Let's Go!" to the other guys. He kept the momentum going between the Spiezio homer and the Erstad homer, not letting the Giants respond, and for that he will always be awesome to me.

Word brother.
I also will always think of that same moment in the series, Donnelly taking care of some serious business, and looking so jacked up that you almost fear for his teammates, let alone those poor Giants players.

Brendan has always been an overachiever. He gets the most out of his abilities, something that most Angel fans truly appreciate.

And he has always been THE consumate team player. Who can ever forget him calmly strolling in from the bully, AFTER multiple pitches have been thrown at opposing batters, both benches already warned, and in he strolls, and the second pitch he throws heads squarely to the back of the opponent! Donkey has always been a guy who takes zero bullshit off of anyone; he'd been through the wars, and no matter what anyone says about him being a scab, on the field he always had his teammates backs. Period.

I will always have a fondness in my heart for Donnelly. I wish him well, I really do.
