Perhaps another good topic of discussion while we suffer through the months of no Angels baseball (football tides me over for a while, but I'd rather watch Golden Girls reruns than NBA basketball) would be nicknames. I've read a lot of funny ones on Halos Heaven, and a lot that make no sense to me like "Myspace." Is that Mathis? Why? Anyway, if anyone wants to jump in on this, I'd like to make a list of nicknames and brief explanations. I'll start with a couple I've heard:

Jo Mo: Jose Molina. Pronounced with a Spanish 'J' of course. An    unfortunate byproduct of his brother's nickname, B Mo.

Junkyard: Joe Saunders. No one else calls him this but me and my family, but we're hoping it catches on. After multiple seasons of management saying thanks to his clutch spot starts by sending him back down, we thought a nickname would cheer him up. We have yet to inform Junkyard himself.
