Willits to Braves????

According to mlbtraderumors.com the braves have asked about Willits. But what do they have to offer?? I wouldn't mind Chipper Jones and a fine hard throwing reliever (if they have something like that to offer) for Willits and say GMJ??? We need some new warriors in the pen and he would make up at 3rd base for mcab...We definitely need bullpen arms...I just think it hasn't been quite the standard we've been used to post 2002. Here are Chipper's stats for 2007 337/29/102 (and may I add 42doubles and 173 hits and he played 134games??) Let's do this!!!!

No way the Braves would WANT to do that deal

and no way we should either. Chipper is on the wrong side of 30, and has durability issues.

we need

to start posting this things in the most recent diaries. i think its safe to say most people here read mlbtraderumors and saw this already. did it need a new diary and to push out others?

i think willits is more valuable as part of a greater package. by himself hes worth what? a single A prospect?

The braves would definatly not trade ...

any reliever. That is one of their biggest weaknesses. Also GMJ no trade clause and Chipper Jones is their team leader. I don't see it happening, atleast not for willits and GMJ.

All-in-all....this is one of the better offseasons

in the last decade probably...it's been REALLY exciting! MLB is back to good ole' fashioned TRADES!

I'd take that..

No way Braves take GMJ's contract. Though now that we have Hunter it would be a steal to have Chipper for GMJ... Not happening though.

No Chipper but...

How about Kelly Johnson. Solid glove and solid bat, but again in the National League so who knows how he would produce. But I would still go somewhere else possibly the Cubs for Aramis Ramirez, also a new rumor. Who knows, I guess we can just sit back and wait and see.
