In a division where the managerial spotlight is hogged by Billy Beane (who deserves the credit), is Angels' GM Bill Stoneman underrated? I'd like to hear some opinions on this. This question comes from a Yankee fan living in NC (and thus, don't hear much AL West talk, which is one of the more interesting divisions in baseball to me), so I'd like some local perspectives if possible. Seems like the Angels are in the mix every year without having to buy the best of what's available in free agency. Their farm system ain't too shabby either.
