New Fantasy Baseball League
Hey everybody, I know we talked about this a couple weeks ago, and I know a few people have already joined leagues. But I'm gonna start another league for any interested rookies. As long as you don't consider yourself stinkin' awesome, you're eligible to play in this league.
I'm using ESPN -- if you're used to Yahoo, ESPN's layout is a little different, but they've got a lot more features, PLUS free live scoring.
So if you're an Angel fan and want to join a fantasy league, then shoot me an e-mail at:
d a n i e l 2 0 2 3 @ y a h o o . c o m and give me your e-mail address.
This Fan-Post is authored by an independent fan. Tell us what you think and how you feel.

If we could get 3 good leagues going it would be neat to have relegation/promotion between them each year.

Fantasyland
It mentions the beginnings of this phenomenon as the Tout Wars basically. I'm guessing the two main differences between their league and ours is one, theirs is specifically Rotisserie and two, their draft is "English auction" where they must bid against each other for players. Therefore, after they spend all their money on Albert Pujols and Johan Santana, they're left with dropping $1 on guys like Matt Hensley.
That said, there's been some talk in our league regarding the efficacy of tracking W's due to their relatively subjective nature. My question, does Matt Hensley's 1-0 record and 36.00 ERA reflect this discontinuity?
Anyway, the first mention of Stoneman in the Walker book:
"I can't help you with that," barks Bill Stoneman, the flinty GM of the Anaheim Angels. "Scouting information is confidential."
Also, reading ahead to the comical Jose Guillen picketing scene: Scioscia got it and played it really well -- even Stoney got it. The only guy that didn't get it was Ersty's running mate, Percival (well, and Ersty). But I'm guessing Percy was just too wound up in his own scowl to see the humor forest for the grit trees.

Great Book
Heck, my wife read it in two sittings.
If you want to win your fantasy baseball league, follow the advice that Sam gave when he won Tout Wars...
