I just wanted to know
I remember someone mentioning march 2?
Cool Thanks
The rotation is in "disrepair"
(link: here)
1. Angels fourth/fifth starters
The contenders: Joe Saunders, Darren Oliver
The favorite: Depends ...
The Angels rotation right now is in a state of disrepair. Ace Bartolo Colon is out until May with shoulder problems, Kelvim Escobar is battling a sore knee, and now Jered Weaver is laid up with a case of bicep tendonitis. Escobar should be fine (for the time being, anyway), but there's some concern that Weaver won't be ready for opening day. Weaver's currently on a throwing program, but he's not yet working from a mound, which leaves him with a tight timetable. If he's not able to answer the bell, then the Angels will be facing a quandary. Saunders is presently penciled in as the No. 5 man, but a Weaver-less rotation might force them to open the season with Oliver in the mix. Perish the thought, Angels fans. That's not good, considering that all five starters will see action in the first week of the season. Much depends on Weaver's convalescence.

Halo Health report
everything else is pretty trivial.
i like the score card you use Rev, and the tracking system.
but still, as long as Vlad is healthy - it's all good, we have enough spare parts.
if he isn't, we're hosed.

geekfest breaks out
Mace Vladi: You refer to the prophecy of The One who will bring balance to the Force. You believe it's this boy?

If Vlad's healthy
Because if it was the Lack of Protection, this season (on paper and at this point and time) does NOT scare any teams.
Vlad can only do so much at the plate with the lack of "Proven" protection around him.
I HOPE THAT ALL CHANGES THIS SEASON.

Funny...
After all that he looks and says "So... pretty much - if Vlad gets hurt then your screwed."
Which my only answer was "yes...pretty much"

Good i hate that damn clown.....
It's probably for the best anyway.
The whole franchise revolves around the staff, and it continues to prevent the offense, more importantly the kids, from being the focal point.
We've had all these conversations in the off season about the offense and the kids. These pitching injuries could translate into a situation in which the offense MUST be depended on to win ballgames.
The sooner we find out where the overall team offense stands the better. Let's put the pressure on the offense from the get go. That way we can find out if the improvements we have planned (Sarge, Figgins at 3B, Kotchman, Napoli's 2nd year, Kendrick, Hillenbrand) are going to pan out.
If the pitching isn't healthy, then the offense knows immediately that they shouldn't expect to be trying to scratch across 2 runs in a 2-1 ballgame, or a 3-2 ballgame. Instead, if the starting staff isn't at its best, and the ERA is more like 4-4.5, then we need to be scoring 5 1/2 -6 1/2 runs day in, day out. The sooner they understand this the better, and then we'll see who can do it.
