Great article by Yahoo's Tim Brown on GA

Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports writes a great article about GA's injury struggles and how GA appears to be back to his former self this spring. He goes on to say, "So, pick the Angels in the West because of their starting pitching, or the back of their bullpen, or even Guerrero. Or, pick them because of Anderson."

my favorite quote
GA:

"I'm out there competing on that level again where, you know what, they've got to worry about me now. The last few years, they didn't have to worry about me as much. The thought was there. But, they were like, 'Well, we know he's not healthy,' so they always had an edge on me. They don't have that edge anymore. So, it'll make them think a little bit more."

that's about as close to talking shit as GA gets.

go get 'em, Caddy. GA All The Way!

This is a great line, coming from Scioscia:
He's matched up in sprints with speedsters Chone Figgins and Reggie Willits, Scioscia said, "and he's right there with them."

Wow, I cannot believe my eyes/ears.  That would be fantastic!  I see he has stolen at least one bag in spring and maybe more... great news.  He's got good legs back underneath him.  I did not realize he was in that much pain.  Go get 'em GA.

'86 never happened!

yeah but...
this guy also writes for the LA Times and is likely suffering from a bout of local bias.

I have no doubts that GA will perform better than the past three years, and hope we get the type of performance from 2000-2003.

Yahoo is working to assure there is no inherent east coast bias in their reortage ala ESPN...

i hope all this is true
GA is my favorite Angel, and i hope he has a not-quite-but-close return to form this year.
