Moseley in the Rotation

According to LA Times, Dustin Moseley is getting the nod over Carassco.  I think both were having decent springs but for some reason I don't remember Dustin being that solid in spot start last season.  Link below...

At least its just keeping the rotation spot warm for Weaver

Well
I'm torn.  I think Carrasco would be a better #5 until Weaver comes back, but he may be more valuable  to us in the pen.  Having a guy that can come out at anytime and give 2-3 solid innings is a good thing.

and
we can always fall back on Carrasco if Moseley starts to struggle

I make that trade...
if I was Stoneman - and if it was even possible.  But since only Stoneman is Stoneman and it is probably not an offer on the table - it won't happen.
Whoo-Hooo, Spring Training started! Go Angels! Trade Figgins!

I dunno...
I like the idea of giving Mosely some outtings early.  There's not a whole lot to lose, and if he has the chance to have a couple of strong outings before a solid minor league season, he's one more bit of trade bait come June, right?

I'm much more concerned that Weaver get into throwing shape as soon as possible.  I sense some missed games this season coming from exhaustion/arm strain...

Moseley
my bet is that they are showcasing him for other teams as trade bait for a piece of a package for a bat.
