Angels lose to the A's 8-7.

Fremont's Brad Halsey gives up 2 runs in 2 innings
Huston Street gives up 3 runs in one inning with no strikeouts

Meanwhile Santana and Oliver combine for 4 innings of shutout ball against their starting bats, leaving it to 31-yr old Greg Jones and Matt Hensley to get knocked around.

Sometimes you gotta take a step backward to take two steps forward.
We did exactly that today.

But technically, Tubs Hensley isn't in the show -- he's a Spring Training non-roster invitee.

I have met with Tubs Hensley, whom I believe is a terrific young man, and I am firmly convinced that he has not violated any laws or any rules established by Major League Baseball, other than "stinking it up really bad on the mound."

Tubs wishes to cooperate with Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Angels and any other investigative agency that may look into this matter. He is eager to tell his side of the story and looks forward to providing a statement once all investigations into the matter of his stinkiness have been completed.

However, it is my long standing policy not to allow clients to comment while an investigation is ongoing. To do so would be inappropriate and I believe irresponsible.

give him a break. he's trying to make it back to the Show - he hasn't been in it since 2004, as he got hurt, and is trying to make it back. He's already been released once by us, is over weight and prematurely balding.

besides, what other Halo plays the accordian in an Irish American Celtic punk band (Flogging Molly)? And is also a professional skateboarder?

geez, give. him. a break.

Interesting article on building a ball club

Now that the A's are Zitoless, surely one would think they would fall from grace and finish well back. But since their GM is rated number 1 by Forbes, it's unlikely that the A's and the Angels will be very far apart come the end of the year.
