So here's my problem:

I'm on your side of the pond for 1 week only - in New York for the last series before the all-star break, which coincidentally (thank god) happens to be against the Angels...

I was hoping to take the lucky lady (The Kiwi) to her first ball game.

So far so good.

Unfortunately, no matter what I try, I cannot get their website to give up 2 adjacent tickets - it must be sold out or very close to sold out.

So a little local knowledge here would be much appreciated - is there another ticket outlet I can approach, or some kind of forum for season ticket holders to unload their spares?

Any advice welcome.

p.s. Any comments on the local Yankee faithful and what to expect from them, also welcome.
