Old school baseball tactics

Piazza killed us during the series. Why didn't we put him on his ass during the third or fourth game? I'm not advocating hitting him, rather just get him out of his comfort zone. I recall a game I saw several years ago in Anaheim against the Mariners. Glaus was tearing the cover off the ball and Pinella had enough. Consequently, Glaus had to hit the deck a few times. Nobody was hurt, just hard nose ball. I would have like to see the same with Piazza. Discuss?

We play the A's so many times that to start the shit now would mean way too many retributions over the course of the seasosn.

IF it is a team we play six or seven times he is getting a shave, if it is an Oaky Choaky Green Weenie, we gotta wait until August to heat it up...

Wayne's World

Interesting side note, I was a few rows behind homeplate when Pantene Latissimus Dorsi got tangled up in that John Lackey offering. However, most humorous to me was during his first at bat, the girl I was with who happens to be from Spain, saw his picture on the Jumbotron and noted he looked like "the guy from Wayne's World."

lets go A's hunting

i say we bring percival back just to face swisher once and hit him in the chin with one of those text book fastballs, you know the 100 mph plus kind, then we go hunting for steriod slamin sammy for retrabution for padilla going after vlad. oh and we could have fatolo throw one into the dug out during a yankees game maybe hitting gay-rod while he is taking care of jeter.

common guys. lets not get rediculous. scioscia isnt about protecting his/our hitters. if he was he would have thrown at sammy when padilla went after vlad, plain and simple.
