Patient hitting tonight
De La Rosa has minimal control, and we can rack up the walks and runs if the hitters are healthy.

I'm new to this site, its awesome!

Go Angels!

I like how well you keep track of these things.
I would too if my blog was getting so much traffic.  Pretty damn cool.

Gotta Keep Track
So many haters and pretenders out there, when you are number one, you gotta be able to just whip it out and shut 'em up.Call it the  John Holmes school of business management.

Distinguished School of Business
Dear REV. I wonder how many of our younger generation can appreciate the virtues of the Holmes School of Business Management. You could have been more subtle about play on words. One of the senior member of the Halos Heaven readers.

At the moment, yes
2007: .071/.235/.071 vs LHP, .288/.338/.493 vs RHP
2005: .250/.344/.250 vs LHP, .286/.355/.551 vs RHP

I don't include his mono-hobbled 2006 season.

I agree
But I am more concerned about Shea on defense.  Kotch has been nails and turns potential errors into outs.

Welcome to ANGELS STADIUM!
Tonight's game at HOME for the Angels at ANGELS STADIUM should be great.   Live from ANAHEIM, this game will be underway shortly.  Should be a fine match up here at ANGELS STADIUM, the HOME park of the Angels.

Hey, gotta try something. LOL

Santana somehow avoids a road meltdown with pressure.

So what we learn is that for Santana to have success on the road, he needs

  1. low attendance
  2. bad weather

Piazza leaves Boston game
A's DH Mike Piazza left the Boston game after a collision with Mike Lowell.

Mike Piazza left Wednesday night's game against the Boston Red [Sox] with an apparent shoulder injury.

The Oakland Athletics' designated hitter was attempting to dive for third base when he collided with Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell. Lowell appeared to roll over Piazza's arm, pinning his shoulder to the ground.

Lowell's tag was the final out of the inning, but Piazza laid on the ground for several minutes, clutching his shoulder in pain before being helped off the field.
