L.A. Angels of Anaheim GAME 54/162 THREAD
GAME THREAD - Sasquatch Mary @ Angels - 7 pm
King FELIX vs Jered WEAVER

Pitcher born in Ronald Reagan's First Term hosts Pitcher born in Ronald Reagan's Second Term
Random Song Lyrics
But of all these friends and lovers
there is no one compares with you
and these memories lose their meaning
when I think of love as something new
This could easily be one of those hundred -times-faced-each-other rivalries in the making or the makings of a wistful reminiscence of the late spring of '07 filled with such young promise that history cruelly found would go unfulfilled...

Figgins benched!
O. Cabrera ss
V. Guerrero rf
G. Matthews Jr. cf
C. Kotchman 1b
H. Kendrick 2b
M. Napoli c
S. Hillenbrand dh
E. Aybar 3b
Good to see, after his entitled quotes in the paper today. Even if Aybar is the worst hitting 3Bman this side of Aurelio Rodriguez.

Lineup
O. Cabrera, SS
V. Guerrero, RF
G. Matthews Jr., CF
C. Kotchman, 1B
H. Kendrick, 2B
M. Napoli, C
S. Hillenbrand, DH
E. Aybar, 3B
Looks like Scioscia liked my suggestion to platoon Quinlan and Aybar at 3B.

Talking to Arizona GOPers is "cool"?
On a related note, in Arizona circles, the GOP presidential race is basically Angels vs. Diamondbacks. Regardez!
Giuliani attended a March 9 fundraiser in the Valley [of the 107-degree sun] and took in a spring training game in Tempe with Los Angeles Angels owner Arte Moreno, a financial backer of his campaign. [...]See? I'm working hard. Actually, it's pretty weird & interesting that Arte is not donating to the 800-pound gorilla of Arizona GOP politics. Any of you who communicate with him, please do let me know why that is.Ken Kendrick, the Arizona Diamondbacks managing general partner, gave money to Giuliani but also donated to McCain and Romney. He is a member of McCain's Arizona finance committee. Kendrick knows all three candidates personally, and he and his wife often spread their money around to encourage hopefuls to get involved in the early stages of the race, he said.
FEC records show Kendrick gave McCain, Giuliani and Romney $2,300 in primary election money this year, the maximum amount an individual can give a federal candidate per election. Last year, he gave $5,000 to McCain's Straight Talk America political action committee. His wife, Randy Kendrick, this year also made $2,300 contributions to McCain, Giuliani and Romney.
