On a related note, in Arizona circles, the GOP presidential race is basically Angels vs. Diamondbacks. Regardez!

Giuliani attended a March 9 fundraiser in the Valley [of the 107-degree sun] and took in a spring training game in Tempe with Los Angeles Angels owner Arte Moreno, a financial backer of his campaign. [...]

Ken Kendrick, the Arizona Diamondbacks managing general partner, gave money to Giuliani but also donated to McCain and Romney. He is a member of McCain's Arizona finance committee. Kendrick knows all three candidates personally, and he and his wife often spread their money around to encourage hopefuls to get involved in the early stages of the race, he said.

FEC records show Kendrick gave McCain, Giuliani and Romney $2,300 in primary election money this year, the maximum amount an individual can give a federal candidate per election. Last year, he gave $5,000 to McCain's Straight Talk America political action committee. His wife, Randy Kendrick, this year also made $2,300 contributions to McCain, Giuliani and Romney.

See? I'm working hard. Actually, it's pretty weird & interesting that Arte is not donating to the 800-pound gorilla of Arizona GOP politics. Any of you who communicate with him, please do let me know why that is.

When I started
following the Angels, there was no such thing as internet streaming audio/video, so it didn't matter that most of the games begin at 3am here.

But when you lot are complaining about east coast games that start at 9,30PST, that's when we watch at a normal time!
