SO in light of what happened to Colon last night, stoneman made some moves

We think that we need arms right now! Bring 'em up!

Santana is not ready to come back up. He had a decent outing the other night, but he needs (I estimate, in my infinite Ervin Santana wisdom) about four or five more starts in SLC to get his head together...

I might think that Gwyn is a starter and Jones is a long reliever. I am sure scareduck will have better insight, so I defer to him...

Gwyn is Salt Lake's closer

which means he might be usable in a relief role. He's another arm the Angels got from the A's; like Kevin Gregg, he'll probably have some use, but don't mistake him for anybody really good.

The Angels are seeing Bootcheck and Moseley fall apart, and this was predictable. As the Chronicler observed, given Moseley's unbelievably low 4.09 K/9 rate, it's impossible to believe he's lasted this long in the Show. Gwyn has a K/9 right around 9, while Moseley never had one better than 8.12, and that in the Cal League. Considering Dustin's been through AAA four times prior to this season, it's a sign.

Santana's where he belongs. Now it's Bart's turn.
