Random Song Lyrics
Been in the country Oh much too long
Trying to be a farmer
But nothing that I planted never seems to grow
Train comin' round the bend
This will be a series to see if there is a shred of hope in October...

the team who can ruin my day: 4/7
I'll be in section 244 wearing my Erstad jersey.
I will probably be crying if the Angels are losing...just kidding, but the drive to the Valley will suck a lot less with a win.
put down the water bottle, higz
Shit, now we lost...

Moseley to Start
Dustin Moseley will start Sunday, followed by Kelvim Escobar and John Lackey Monday and Tuesday. Moseley has struggled lately, which he attributes to slight mechanical flaws and leaving the ball up in the zone more than he should.

Would Sosh really put the rookie on the mound to face the pressures of a nationally televised game?
I hope Hurst is wrong.

Heh
Can't we just put Wood there, just once?
As soon as I saw Det had a lefty throwing
Are you shitting me?
Why are we not playing double play depth?
Nevermind
Catcher's interference?
Wow. What a play.
About time SOMEBODY made an out
The sad part is that they gave Polanco a single
Oh my god what a catch!
Clank de'Friggins
Thought that was down
NOW GET A DAMN HIT HGH!
Pretty much the most abysmal first inning
GMJ saved Weaver's bacon on that one. Makes the easy plays hard, and the hard plays look easy, I swear.
There should have been 2 errors in that inning
None of those runs should be earned, honestly.
Now THAT is what I call

Thank you Chone
Now only if we would stop batting Cabrera

It wasn't an intentional walk, but it was a walk
Crossing my fingers and toes
It wasn't solid, but it works
Matthews, you saved the day now kill
Whooo! Matthews, way to go!
GMJ!!
Wow Garret, way to stare
Jesus! Swing!
The fact that he got a hit out of that is not rite
The fact that he actually ran it out is what I was
hah

Mathis, you're our man!
Quinlan, lucky us
They just said Quinlan is the emergency catcher

by ReggieBullits on Jul 27, 2007 7:53 PM PDT up reply actions
Not sure I like that any better
Hamstring Injuries
The good news is that he walked off under his own power, and he appeared to be flexing the knee okay -- with a severe pulled hamstring, you can't even flex the knee....
THATS ANGELS BASEBALL
And napoli defiantly did not hurt an ankle.
Looked like a hammy to me!
My theory states that you have to have rookies step up to win it all. We have had a couple so far, but NOW is the time for Mathis to STEP IT UP AND TAKE CHARGE...just like Mike did to him last year!
i blame ga.

I Blame Stoneman !!
I, like most Angels fans want to have my cake and eat it too. In short, I want to win NOW and be a perennial contender (the second part is where Arte and Stoneman place their emphasis; the Jose Molina trade being evidence).
The Indians picking up Lofton was a good move for them the same way that letting Molina go was a bad move for us. One team picked up a veteran presence who will surely help in the clubhouse and in late and postseason games, while we lost such a presence.
If Napoli's injury turns out to be serious I think we should begin to chant for Stoneman's head!
We traded Jose Molina, not Bengie
Was Molina the only Veteran
I really have a problem

Tongue in cheek, right?
He has been better lately. I half expected him to pull a hammy on his IF weak-ass hit! Oversliding 2b on that play right in front of him? That was little league ball! Personally I am way-past swearing at GA...currently I am swearing at OC for little league base running!

Sorry, to break up the fun but.....
Stoneman is an #@&^&^&#@ idiot !!
Is anybody out there as pissed off as I am about this?
You're nuts
You are just blindly sentimental, jose Molina brought absolutely nothing to the team. Nothing, save a sentimental connection to 2002.
Well, Rev. I think it was just last season
My displeasure with the trade has absolutely nothing to do with "sentimentality" or anything else about the 2002 team, just as my preference for Glaus over McPherson isn't about "sentimentality". While I am comfortable with Napoli and Molina as a catching tandem I am not comfortable with Naps and Mathis. And I'm certainly not comfortable with Mathis and any other scrub from double or triple A that would make up our catching duo if Naps misses any significant time. For someone who apparently takes alot of care to create great depth in the organization the trade of Molina was a terrible oversight by Stoneman.
I am not talking about potential or future mind you. I am talking about winning this season. I think our best change at winning it all in the near future will be this year or next as Vladdy's skills are almost certain to diminish somewhat (we are already witnessing a decline in the power numbers).
There is a reason the Yankees wanted Jose Molina. And despite your dislike of the franchise Brian Cashman does know something about baseball.
I'm not saying Stoneman doesn't know baseball but I am questioning his commitment to winning NOW compared to his focus on the longterm health of the franchise.

Weaver continues to get pinched
from angels site
Aybar, out since July 1, has missed 19 games. Kendrick twice has had his season interrupted by broken fingers on his left hand, missing a total of 44 games.
Reliever Chris Resop (right triceps tendinitis) has been out since July 13 and Colon (right elbow irritation) since July 24. Third baseman Dallas McPherson (lower back surgery) is expected to miss the rest of the season, with outfielder Juan Rivera (broken lower left leg) hoping to rejoin the Angels for the final month or so of the season. Rivera is running 90-foot intervals, taking batting practice and throwing long toss.
