Where the St. Louis Cardinals are becoming the Midwest Angels it appears the San Diego Padres are starting on the path.

According to the ever reliable "Sports News" organization, ESPN, the Padre's have fired their hitting coach Merv Rettenmund and hired Wally Joyner.

I got a hat signed by Wally for my brother while in Japan for the All Star Tour.

He wore it to the doctors office and got a shot of penicillin in the A'ss.

Looks like it says "Best of luck Todd" then he signed it below. I basically found the jersey while helping a girlfriend move. It was really the only thing I got our of the relationship.
