Making a Move
Anybody want to make predictions whether or not Stony makes a move for the "big bat?"
Rosenthal thinks Griffey would be a good fit:

Well, maybe. He kinda sorta says he would be a good fit, then he says it would add to the logjam, so I'm not really sure what his point is. He also doesn't make any predictions.
Über-nerd Tim Kurkjian predicted on Baseball Tonight (Baseball Last Night??) that the Halos would stand pat, which I also believe will be the scenario given Stoner's track record and the fact that what we REALLY need (despite all the "expert" analysis and speculation) is the currently elusive power-hitting third-baseman (which we denizens of Halos Heaven all realize of course - except maybe for that dude who wants Adam Dunn on the team...)
So, what are your predictions?
I say the Angels will do nothing, and 52-33 tells me that's not necessarily a bad thing.
P.S. In the comments, please refrain from referring to Mark Teahen as a power hitter.

Slow-hand Bill
I think the only outside chance of anything happening are if A) G.A. goes down for the season right now & we can find a legitimate slugger w/a short-term contract, or B) Napoli's hurt much worse than thought, so we trade for Mike Lieberthal or something.

Please
He TRADED for Tejada.
I guess that pales in comparison to the likes of Lugo, and Betemit.

That would have been his first midseason pickup

Let's don't forget
that he did trade away Randy Johnson from Montreal for Mark Langston when he was a wee bit younger. Then, of course, Mark left as a free agent to go to the Angels.
He claims that he learned from that episode.

low trade possibilities
Speier and Resop are going to solidify the bullpen this year.
only thing i can see is perhaps Mathis holds his own, and some one desperate for a catcher will over pay for Molina.
