Lil Weazy (ND): 7 IP, 5 H, 2 ER
Boof (ND): 7.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER

Lil Weazy threw 5 innings of shutout ball, but our bats were worthless through 7.  A 2-2 game in the bottom of the 8th saw Shields come in and barf all over himself as J. Mauer rounded the diamond with a 3 run inside-the-park HR.  Game over.

We'll be fine.

That Maicier Izturis aka Mice Tits, has exploded on offense this week after the story about the Rat problem at the stadium broke.

or

Is it Mice Tits sticking up for his "family" by trying to take the attention away from the stadium issue and put it back on the field.

When Lackey, Escobar, Weaver
pitch like this, it makes the team damn near unbeatable.

So far against the Twins, they have a 1.59 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in the two games with 10 K's in 17 IP, compared to just 5 walks.

Let's keep it up!

He seems to be doing what Sandy Koufax preached
"I became a good pitcher when I stopped trying to make them miss the ball and started trying to make them hit it."

"The only time I really try for a strikeout is when I'm in a jam. If the bases are loaded with none out, for example, then I'll go for a strikeout. But most of the time I try to throw to spots. I try to get them to pop up or ground out. On a strikeout I might have to throw five or six pitches, sometimes more if there are foul-offs. That tires me. So I just try to get outs. That's what counts - outs. You win with outs, not strikeouts."

He's had so many great quotes.

This was Mathis's make it or break it moment with Nap on the DL. He had to step up or face Budde kicking him out. Mathis has done really well I think. His HR was big for him today.

There's a reason why Mathis has gotten almost all of the starts behind the plate. He is at least the backup catcher, and he may be the starting catcher if Napoli struggles.
