Vegas Baby

I am leaving tonight to go to Vegas for family birthday party and  semi reunion.

The only issue is the family is not sports oriented enough to have the MLB extra inning and I need to know a good place to go to watch the games this weekend.

I know this is a personal problem but any suggestions would be appreciated.

ANY sports book
Bellagio ... Venetian ... they all have big comfy chairs, drink service (although they do charge) and a hundred televisions.

If you bet a hundred on a game they give youa few drink tickets, but if the game you want is not on the teevee, ask about it while youa re looking to bet, they will find it for you and then you bet like 2 bucks on the game!

<It can get a little cramped when a big race is on or once college sports and the SteroidNFL games begin but right now is prime time for everything at once - and it is FREE!

Thanks Rev
Ended up at Mandalay Bay for part of the Game 1 debacle on Friday. I gotta say it was enjoyable considering the way the game went and the 2 Boston fans (won't call them Chowdas because they were actually intelligent and respectable) I was watching the game with.

Uh,
what Rev said.  Any casino should have the game on by the sportsbook.

Verizon phone
Can't believe nobody suggested this... Gameday service on your phone (I have Verizon) is pretty damn decent if you can't get in front of a sports book.
Hoping Ervin Santana turns it around in Salt Lake. Go, Ervin!

Also
from any phone/text message plan you can send a text message of

MLB Angels

to the number 46645 (which is GOOGL)

and it will send a text back to you with the current score/inning/outs/etc.

it's a Google text service, and it's free (well, unless your plan charges you for texts)

I always use it when I'm not near a tv/radio during a game.  Also if a game is not currently going on, it will send you the last final score and the info on when the next game is.  Works for any MLB/NFL/NHL/etc team.

With win-win-win, we all win!

Meant to add
It's not as in depth as the Verizon service, as it doesn't tell you who's up, who's on base, etc, but it's pretty decent in a pinch.

Do NOT combine recommendations
You cannot use a phone inside the sports lounge.

Just because
the game's on at the sportsbook doesn't mean one's automatically gonna gamble on it, although it certainly does increase the odds!

Why?
I'm giving Figgins a big F U. Seattle isn't winning 90. I am not worried.
