needs to stop with his "Speier is 7, Shields is 8, K-Rod is 9" nonsense. You keep someone in if they are working...PERIOD. You pull them if they are not. Don't give them designated roles from which they are unable to escape. If Speier comes in and sets the A's down in order, then he's the guy tonight. End story.

pitched for the third day in a row. Shields didn't pitch yesterday. I can't blame Mike for using him. I can blame Shields for pitching like crap. And how can that be an error on Vlad? Got to go to Quinlan.
