Postseason Lottery

I'm sure those of you on this board that are not season ticket holders have all heard about or entered the Angel postseason ticket lottery online.  I think that they are going to annouce the results soon for the ALDS.

Anyone know about how many tickets they are going to release for this lottery?  Any idea on where those seats are going to be located?

Regardless, its a heckuva much better deal than going onto stubhub for playoff tickets, or through a scalper.

Man, this is a whole lot different than 1986
I remember having to spend the night in my pickup truck the night before the playoff tickets went on sale at the Big A. It was kind of an all-night party, if I remember correctly but I slept most of the night in the cab of my Datsun truck.

I got my tickets (For Game 5, mind you!!!) first thing in the morning, came back to my truck, and there was a guy passed out in the bed of the truck and he had puked all over in there. (I wonder what happened to that dude).

It took me a good hour to hose all the puke out of my truck at the coin-op car wash on Katella.

That must have been an omen. So folks, moral of the story: if you're buying playoffs tickets (esp. if we might be playing the Red Sox), don't camp out all night in the Anaheim Stadium parking lot.

A lottery should be just fine.

2004 was a breeze
we were 3 back with 9 to go. tickets went on sale on TM and were readily available.

i saw both Boston games - it wasn't fun but getting tickets was as easy as it'll ever be for an Angel playoff game.

2005 was a pain
I was hitting "refresh" on their website and actually got in, but by the time I'd cleared the captcha and the "please wait" animation had cleared, they had no tickets whatsoever.

Same here.
And I had 4 workstations at my desk, with a  DS3 Internet connection to myself.

Agreed
I had a very similar situation in 04 and 05 - Ticketmaster was overloaded, and by the time I got in, the tix were gone.

Just got the good news
That I was selected to buy tickets tomorrow AM.  I'll be, umm, telecommuting from OC in about two weeks (I work in Downtown Sacramento).

I wonder how good/crappy the seats we're able to purchase are?

I got in. Sweet!
Any word on ticket prices?
