If you had to choose who is the AL wild card

Now that Seattle is officially in a free fall and TB took two of three in NY, and Detroit is making a run, who would you rather have be the AL wild card?

I would rather it be NY because of personal selfish reasons (good chance I get to see some games live in NY). But it wouldn't bother me too much to see the evil empire retired for the year and the resulting anarchistic turmoil (fire Torre, dump ARod, go hard after Andruw, etc., etc.).

Seattle winning is good for us

The Masshole/Skank axis is at least half-silenced for the month of October.
We can and will kick Seattle's ass.
A-Rod might be watching TV from home and think to himself, "Damn, I wouldn't mind playing of for a playoff team."

I voted for NY

So you can see some games, moondoggy, and also because we own the Bombers. But we would have to be 1st overall ahead of the chowds in the AL, with NY somehow getting the WC.

I don't really want to play Boston in the first series. They are just too f---ing lucky.

we wouldn't need to be ahead of Boston. Boston can't play NY because they are both from the same division.

We do own them

i vote for the Halos

the best way to drive a stake through the Chowd Nation heart is to go into Fenway as the WC and take two, then have them fly across country to eat the sweep - their plane flight would last longer than the 9 inning romp on Friday night.

end of the Sox MLB best record season in 3 games and they're done and gone by Oct. 5th , courtesy of the Halos - nothing would beat that!
