Post Your OPD GUESSES in this thread before the first pitch!

And then if I see something odd (really obscure nickname perhaps, or something I literally need to look up) it makes me stop and have to check.

Scioscia on Vlad
It's just a little tightness in the triceps area -- he'll probably need a day or two to calm it down," Manager Mike Scioscia said. "This is relatively minor. It should clear up in a couple of days, where he should at least be able to swing the bat. There's a lot of baseball left. It makes sense to calm this down rather than play through it."

people question things they don't understand.
and scioscia is hard to understand. his stubborn refusal to acknowledge the demise of q. his trust in his starters and relievers even when they're doing poorly. how he gained so much weight. why he would endorse the big screen howard's t.v. stuff.

the man's an enigma. actually, it's just some minor stuff people are questioning. not like there are any glaring problems.

Salt Lake just beat Sacramento 10-9
With another walkoff single, this time by Adam Pavkovich in the bot of the 9th.  Second night in a row we beat them like that, and in the PCL playoffs, no less!

The sweetest part is that it is Choakland's AAA club.  Ha!

Question:
We're winning 8-3 after the top of the 8th.  Do you put Shields in for the 9th to see what he can do, with a short leash?

Keep in mind his first real meltdown of the year was on that godawful roadtrip in Milwaukee against Cleveland at the beginning of the year...

to reflect the record he set tonight for the team.

There was a diary or story about it on this site a while back, but we need to get together as Angels' fans and make our team's entries as well written and well-drawn out as the articles for their Yanksox counterparts.  I try to do my part from time to time.
