Is any Angel Talk on 710 on the schedule?

I haven't heard any Halo discussion on the airwaves since we did the Hunter signing.

Does anyone know if the Halo flagship station has anything formally planned in the way of Angel talk in the near future?

I've really got a jones for listening to something, anything, by the folks who produce the broadcasts. An interview or two, maybe a little team gossip on the side, something to keep myself sated for the next six weeks until things get rolling in AZ.

Get a bunch of guys together a couple of times every week, at a regular time, and stream your B.S. sessions. Use Skype to take callers toll-free. Create a free blog using Blogspot to share notes, recaps, topic schedules, ideas, and also to advertise your broadcasts. Turn the audio bradcasts into podcasts for downloads.

Then, best of all, during the season your broadcast buddies can get together and provide an alternative to the audio on televised braodcasts of actual games, invoking as much smack, humor, and general lampoooning as possible. You guys watch the games, and stream your commentaries.

And, of course, as always you MUST promote HH!!!

There's a reason they invented Hot Pockets:

The new 710 line-up
is terrible.  Some of the worst radio programming ever.  They're trying a change in format to keep pace with 570 (Petros and Money,) but are failing miserably and it's pretty much unlistenable right now.  I didn't like Ireland, especially when it came to baseball, but now I realize that he was pretty good after all.  Hopefully their management won't let this disaster go for much longer.

710 Is dead to me
I only SOMETIMES listen to Colin when Kevin and Bean AND Adam Corola are on repeats.

Been going down hill
Ever since they dropped Doug Krikorian from the McDonnell/Douglas show.

Annoying though they were, they were fun.  The current lineup is either annoying and shrill (Stephen A Smith) or just boring (Mike & Mike).

Dead to me as well
I commute 3 hours every day and listen to Colin occasionally in the morning.  I use to tolerate Mason and Ireland because they did talk about the Angels every now and then.  But it is completely poop now.  Dave Damishek has got to be one of the worst sports radio personalities I have ever heard.  So it's John and Ken now with Andrew Siciliano on the tail end.

Speaking of AM 83. . .
they're really missing the boat by failing to provide any "hot stove" programming at all, given that their call letters are KLAA. I hope this isn't a sign that Arte doesn't take the radio side seriously.

And as far as KSPN and KLAC go, what is their target audience? 8th grade boys? How 'bout some programming aimed at adults?

I take it more as a sign
that the official cutover hasn't been announced and/or the Angels are still organizing broadcasts at AM 830.
Hoping Ervin Santana turns it around in Salt Lake. Go, Ervin!

It has been announced, however quietly
There was a half-page ad in the Pasadena Star-News early last month or thereabouts welcoming Garland and Hunter to the team from "the new home of the Angels" or some such phrase. That was the first and only acknowledgment of the change I've seen.

830 am
I went to the KLAA website and it says it is the official home of the Angels (along with a lot of really, really bad talk radio shows).

What else is interesting
No indication whatsoever of any Spanish-language broadcasting.
Hoping Ervin Santana turns it around in Salt Lake. Go, Ervin!
