Is Texeria still an option?
Okay so the lack of Angel stove talk has spurred my creativity.
Realistically, the Braves don't have a lot of needs. However they could use a Center Fielder. Something we have a surplus of. Grant it, we're not going to be able to trade Matthews away, but what about Figgins? Now hear me out.
In a deal for Chone Figgins and Casey Kotchman, could we pluck Mark Texeria away from the Braves. I think Figgins is a native Georgian and could answer their problem in Center. Kotchman would trade places with Texeria.
Then our line up could look more like...
RF - Garry Matthews Jr.
2B - Howie Kendirck
DH - Vlad Guerrero
1B - Mark Texeria
LF - Garret Anderson/Juan Rivera
CF - Torri Hunter
3B - Izturis/Woods
C - Mike Napoli
SS - Aybar

Reasons this trade will not happen
2. Casey Kotchman is too good AND too affordable to trade at this point
3. Angels Heart Figgy
4. Braves want to make a push with Teix after spending so much in the trade to get him...

So Rev...
And for everyone else, whom on the Angels roster could be realistically dealt without upsetting the Halo Community?

haha
Its impossible to make a trade everyone agrees with.
Everyone here agrees we need power, but then are upset if it comes anywhere other than our farm.
People here are adament about keeping our top prosepects, so that you'd think that means they prefer free agency.
Well, when we sign free agents, people here freak out about how much money we pay them.
No matter what our team does, people are mad.

upsetting?
They are not going to trade Vlad
they cannot (10/5 rule) trade Anderson
They cannot (no trade clause) trade Matthews
They would only trade Napoli or Mathis for a top tier player, not gonna happen
They value Wood too highly to trade him for anything other than a future hall of famer
They don't see Kendrick as "clutch" and that is why he get dangled so much
Willits is a goner or at Salt Lake to start the season (barring injury)
Kotchman is too valuable vis-a-vis his salary relative to performance.

Yhey
Well whomever they are , they are retarded. He's had one full season at the big league level and he's got a 300+ BA. They should be cleaning the toilets if they believe he's not clutch. I think it's more likely other teams ask for him specifically (besides Wood) and they have shown some restraint in not trading him.

well
A-rod is the best player in the league and is not considered clutch(even though he had plenty of walk offs last april)
I wouldnt call vlad clutch and hes our best player.
David eckstein, bengie molina were clutch hitters.
David Ortiz is probably the most clitch person ever.
So it doesnt make howie bad at all. It just means if hes up with 2 outs and we NEED him to get a hit, the jury is out on whether or not we're confident he'd come through.

Rev,
It's shocking that we've seen Howie's name almost thrown around as much as it has been this off-season. But in years past, we've seen the same happen with the likes of Aybar, Kotchman, Morales, Santana, Saunders. It used to be an annual event with Washburn....and it seems that I remember a few mentions of Lackey early on. It's almost as if it's only the ones who ultimately stick.
I cannot remember any significant rumors of trades using the players that we ourselves had signed as free agents or traded for ourselves such as Rivera and Izturis. I wasn't paying attention to such things before about 2000.....maybe this is just a Stoneman thing.

Rev.,
Also, is it your conclusion the Kendrick is not "clutch", or do your sources say as much?
