i know it's disappointing losing in the playoffs. as a fan since '86, just making the playoffs on a consistent level is a thrill. being considered a championship caliber team is awesome. would you guys be disappointed if the Angels don't win another World Series during this great run however long it last.(it can't last forever right?) i hear fans say we're becoming the Braves of this generation. is that completely bad? yeah they only won 1, underachieved in many eyes but they did make the playoffs for like 12 yrs. i look at the Marlins and see how they won 2 rings in '97 and '03. their young talent just came together and had a great run. then you look at the team inbetween the championships and look at the team now. they suck. trade them away and reload every 2-3 yrs. in perfect world we can consistently win and win some rings with it. so far it hasn't happened. i'm glad we dont' have the Marlins ownership here. look at the NYY, all that money and they can't figure it out except to throw money at the problem. i'm just glad we're on a successful run. yeah it would be nice to win another championship soon. i'm just going to enjoy it.

It's a lot better

After 1995 and seeing Seattle, Texas, and Oakland consistently make the playoffs, I was thinking that the Halos would never make it. That all changed with 2002. As a result, the expectations have gone up. I still think we have had a good run, however, if we don’t at least win an AL pennant soon the Braves run will look like the Yankees late 90s-2000 run compared to ours since they at least won 4 NL pennants (5 if you include their 1995 WS victory) while we only have the 1 AL pennant from the WS championship team.

It's like a job

When people first found out you’re a janitor, they made fun of you.
Then you won a big award and got a huge bonus, everyone thought your job was legit and you were so proud.
Now, some people don’t think your job is that bad, but deep down, you know it still sucks, the bonus money is long gone, you’re back to how it used to be … longing for that feeling when you won the prize and got the big bonus.
