Thankful for Halos Heaven

I was just reading the message boards on the angels home page and couldn't help but write this. The amount of crap that is written in there is just (as Tim McCarver would say) dispicable. I could not believe the stuff I was reading, just the most off the wall, idiotic suggestions for what the team should do now. Not to mention the hoards of Red Sox fans just smack talking for days. The angels fans commenting in there too though, just the most pathetic and embarrassing fans. I'd post a link but I don't know how to use the html tag thingy and don't want to get the Rev in trouble. Its under "angels still feel the sting" or something like that on the home page. I wouldn't bother reading the mindless garbage anyway.

So knowing that wouldn't be tolerated here, I just wanted to thank the Rev and everyone else that contributes so much to making this the far and away best angels baseball site to visit. All the info and analysis is top notch and I truly feel spoiled and grateful now knowing I'm apart of the best angels fan community out there. Thanks again.

I check Halosheaven multiple times a day. Hardly ever actually check the team site though. Better stuff here! Good job Rev.

The messages there are just… I don’t even know the right words… if that message board had a face, I’d want to punch it.

I think the reason this site is so good:

1. Better Angel fans with a sense of humor and a brain.
2. Rev and co.‘s close moderating. The crap can’t get too out of control.

I did not think that was possible. Man, they always have the stupidest callers. I usually tune in for comic relief.

This is funnier than sh!t, sir

and a prime example of what makes this site great. To capture perfectly the essence of an AngelTalk caller in written form…VERY well done indeed. ELLing thehell OL everytime I read it and I first read it yesterday. I was leaving the stadium last year I think and I heard someone ask Terry, …wait for it…why they didn’t play the Calling All Angels video (??!!). Now, I love me some Calling All Angels video, whoever put that together is some kind of genius, I think I get choked up every damn time I see it (and I’m House minus the compassion) BUT if I somehow miss it, I’m not gonna get on AngelTalk and ask Terry about it. Instead of wondering the entire game and planning to ask Terry, I might ask one of the ubiquitous ushers, “Hey, what up with Calling All Angels?”. “You must have been taking a piss, sir…”, would be the reply.

I think the moderating is the key
